The HCA Academy has become a new corporate directorate within the HCA (Homes & Communities Agency). The new Skills and Knowledge directorate is led by Gill Taylor, formerly responsible for the Academy. It continues the Academy's work to diagnose skills gaps and devise practical support programmes for priority places and incorporates their local employment programmes.

The new directorate will:
• Prepare partners to participate in the Single Conversation and provide practical support programmes for places prioritised for investment
• Lead the HCA's response to the apprenticeships and worklessness agenda by ensuring that local jobs are created where we make major investments
• Develop an interactive website that will provide cost-effective learning and knowledge transfer for HCA staff and delivery partners.
