Learning Lunch: Community Funding Options

Event date:
Thursday, 29 March 2012 - 12:30pm

The NEW REGENERATION and ECONOMIC landscape being created by the Coalition Government, especially replacing the Regional Development Agencies with private sector led Local Economic Partnerships, will require creative responses, innovative and flexible solutions to be developed.

New ideas are developing which will require local politicians, local govt. officers, place shapers, economic development and place making practioners and professional advisors to utilise new investment and funding instruments as more familiar routes for resourcing economic growth are progressively withdrawn. The FOCUS is shifting from the traditional grant funding approach to delivery, joint working in partnerships through innovative delivery mechanisms. Through this Learning Lunch we will explore the latest funding options supporting community development and social entrepreneurship and social enterprise.
