The Planning for BME Communities programme will be holding two more events in October.
In Kirklees, a one day workshop is being held on the planning application system in October. This day is aimed at anyone who wants to find out more about how planning applications are decided. It will benefit local council workers who work with the public or in planning-related fields. It considers how to apply for planning permission and what to do if it is refused and so will be of interest to members of the public who are thinking of extending their home or business. It looks at how to comment on an application with tips for making comments relevant. Ward Councillors may also find this event useful. The day is interactive with plenty of time to ask questions and participate in practical workshops. The event itself is free and includes lunch and refreshments.
The event is being held on two dates:
Wednesday 8 October at the Hudawi Centre in Huddersfield; and
Saturday 18 October at the Al-Hikmah Centre in Batley.
